Epson 4900 Ink Cartridge Auto-Reset CHIP ONLY
Details
Epson 4900 Compatible Cartridge "ARS" Auto Reset Chip
These are replacement Auto-Reset Micro Chips for our refillable cartridges. Sometimes these chips need to be replaced. They will become unstable and the printer will display an error. This is caused by many different reasons, such as electrical spike, static charge, scratched contacts, dead chip battery, or even Epson Firmware programming spike!
The micro-chips are mounted on a plastic holder that easily 'snaps' into place. Use care not to break the mounting tabs, otherwise you may need to replace the plastic ink cartridge itself.
These cartridges feature "ARS" (Auto Reset Chip). It is more expensive to have this micro-processor chip, but well worth the extra cost. There is no need to buy a separate chip resetter. The ARS chips automatically reset themselves on their own pre-programmed cycle. The ink volume display may not always match the actrual ink volume. When level autoresets to full, remove cartridge and refill. BUT, in any case, do NOT allow the ink cartridge to run out of ink.
