1,000 watt UV Exposure Bulb
Details
1kw Halogen Exposure Unit Bulb 120v
High UV output 1,000 watt exposure lamp. Used in all older Atlas 5-Way & National Equipment exposure units, as well many other manufacturers units and thousands of Do-it-yourself exposure kits. High output 1,000 watt, rich ultra violet wavelength reduces exposure times tremendously compared to regular 300w or 500w flood lights.
NOTE: Change these bulbs after every 100 hours of use. Although they may still light, the ultra-vilot output will begin to dimish. This will cause screens to be under-exposed. If you have had your bulb more than a year, it should be changed. For busy shops, shooting up to 10 screens per day, change bulb every 6 months.
These bulbs run HOT! So if you are using a halogen floodlight fixture, always point fixture UP during exposure. Make sure to remove glass from the fixture itself, otherwise the excess heat will melt the quartz glass bulb.
WARNING: Do not touch the glass bulb with bare hands. Oils from your skin will cause the glass bulb to melt and burn out. Handle only by the ceramic ends. When installing new bulb, use the wrapper the bulb is supplied with, or a clean cloth.

Be a good Boy Scout and BE PREPARED FOR AN EMERGENCY. Keep a spare bulb attached on the inside wall of your exposure unit. Someday, when that job is due tomorrow morning and your expo light blows out......it will always be there!
