Richmond Graphics Solarbeam SBL-4 & SBL-2 Exposure Light Bulb

Richmond Graphics Equipment has closed their doors for good.  But, we have been approved & authorized by the original manufactuerer to import and sell for the Americas (North, Central, South).  We bring these replacement bulbs to our customers directly from the manufacturer! CalMat of The Netherlands

There are TWO MODELS of these bulbs.  SBL-4 is a 10kw and the SBL-2 is 7kw.  Both bulbs can be used in any Richmond Unit, however we always recommend the 10kw SBL-4 bulb for everyone because of it's super fast, low temperature exposure.

High UV output combined with a wide spectral response which covers both diazo and photopolymer films and emulsions.

It is best to supply the exposure unit with 208 volt.  This will greatly increase the life of the bulb.  It will only slightly affect the exposure times.  The "actual" operating energy wattage of the SBL-4 bulb is 2,ooo watts and idle at 400 watts.  When running at the full 2,000 watt energy level, the equivelent "spectral" exposure wattage is 10,000.  This is because of the special "tri-metal" perfect spectrum wavelength result and the focused lamp reflector.

SPECIFICATIONS

  • SBL-4, 10,000 watt equivalent output ('actual' operating wattage is 400/2,000w)
  • SBL-2, 7,000 watt equivalent output ('actual' operating wattage 400/1,200w)
  • 208 volt 50/60hz (operates up to 220v with shorter bulb life)
  • Ship Weight 16 lbs (dimensional weight)
  • Bulb ships direct from our NJ warehouse

Please note: We do not offer technical hardware support for Richmond exposure equipment.  We are only stocking & supplying the replacement bulbs and vacuum blankets.  Contact a licensed electrician if you need troubleshooting or repairs of your exposure unit.

SPECS:

These lamps have, amongst others, been built into exposure units manufactured by: Richmond Graphics (Solarbeam), Svecia, ST Maschinenbau, Natgraph UK, Krause GmbH

Sealed Beam Exposing Lamps.

High UV output combined with a wide spectral response which covers both diazo and photopolymer films and emulsions together with, in the case of the lamps with pin connections, a hot re-strike ability.

•    Prismatic front lens creates directionally controlled light with minimal undercutting.
•    In-built dichroic reflector permits heat dispersal through the back of the lamp.
•    Enclosed arc tube eliminates dangerous UVC radiation
•    Environmentally safe as the enclosed arc tube also means no ozone is produced.
•    Arc tube surrounded by low pressure nitrogen to ensure a long lamp life.
•    Radiation is maximised between 315nm. and 450nm.
•    Operating position is universal provided arc tube axis remains horizontal.

We care about protective packaging.  We take the original manufacturer's box and repack to our shipping standards.  After inspection, it is final packed for shipping with extra care.  FedEx, UPS, USPS workers can toss this all over the truck and no worries about damage.
