Albachem Clear Screen Instantly unclogs any recently dried, or drying, inks while still on the press. Dissolves all types of solvent based, conventional ink, fresh or old (except cured epoxy inks). It is great for spot cleanups in hard to reach corners of the screen, or squeegees, tools, equipment etc. For use on photoemulsion stencils or water soluble hand cut film only. Clear Screen works fast and efficiently to reduce downtime.
Use this at the first sign of misprints due to clogging.  As ink dries or begins to thicken in the screen, the ink will begin to plug the mesh openings.  It will create a block and not allow the free passing of ink thru the stencil.  The printed results will have missing serifs on fine text, or will have larger gaps in the edges of the print.  Thickening ink will also create more tack and the mesh will begin to stick to the substrate being printed.
Stop the press after a full print stroke and before doing a flood stroke.  All liquid ink must be clear of image area.  Spray a fine mist onto a lint-free wiper or clean 100% cotton rag.  Gently wipe the bottom of the screen (substrate side) until you see the clogged areas clear.  Fold wiper/rag several times to prevent smearing of ink residue.  Repeat as needed.  DO NOT OVERSATURATE the wiper, otherwise you will force Clear Screen up thru the mesh.  This will create a smeared print upon the next print cycle.  If some solvent flows to squeegee side of screen, blot with dry clean wiper.
