Did you know that some paint sticks are made from trees harvested from the rainforests of South america?  Our paint sticks are Rainforest Alliance Certified.

Jessup brand paint sticks are harvested from fast growing tree plantations in the Carolina's area of the Mid-Atlantic US.  These trees are grown specifically to produce wooden paint paddles and yardsticks.  It only takes about 500 acres of this renewable eco-friendly resource to supply paint and yard sticks for the entire US.  These "paint stick tree farms" are thinned every year and new trees planted in between.  It only takes 10-15 years for a tree to mature to paint stick ready size for harvest. 

OK, we agree, plastic paint sticks are great, BUT plastic doesn't originate in the USA and almost all plastic products you see are "made in China".  So not only is this a way to BUY AMERICAN, it's also a way to save the earth.
