International Coatings 3822 Destructo White
3822 Destructo™ White was developed specifically in response to customer demand for an ink that could imitate flaking or weathered paint.
"The distressed, or grunge look, continues to be a strong fashion trend going forward," said Steve Kahane, President of International Coatings. "Our DestructoTM White is a unique product that allows printers to easily achieve that look. We've received very positive feedback on its performance and how easy it is to use."
Cure 3822 DestructoTM White at 350°F (170°C), slightly higher than the cure temperature for conventional plastisol inks, then stretch or crumple the fabric to achieve the cracking effect.
Destructo inks are available only in White or Black (special order). However, some customers have printed Destructo white ink, flashed it, and then printed a plastisol color on top using very fine mesh. This method still shows the white underneath when cracked after curing, but you may want to try this method, as it gives an interesting effect.
- 3822 DestructoTM White is press ready and offers excellent wash-fastness after curing, even whenprinted as a thick textured layer.
- 3822 DestructoTM White can be used on 100% cotton and cotton/poly blend fabrics.
- 3822 DestructoTM White is Phthalate-Free.
- 3822 DestructoTM White is ideal for adding special effects or texture to a design and can further be enhanced by adding tints.
- 3822 DestructoTM White can be printed on textured surfaces and/or using larger ink deposits to achieve multiple and varied special effects. A longer drying time will be required when using heavy deposits or textures.
