Brother GT Platen Adapter for Screen Printing

Vastex / Brother GT Series DTG Digital Platen adapter

Allows you to move the Brother GT Platen Assembly (either Adult 14"x 16" or Youth 10" x 12") between a Vastex V-1000 manual screen printer and the Brother GT-541 or GT-782 printers.  Keeps and maintains perfect and exact registration.  This adapter is made specifically to fit Vastex V-1000 series textile printers and includes a frame clamp elevation adapter.  The elevation adapter allows you to clamp in a screen without shimming.  Although it is specially engineered for Vastex printers, it will fit "most" manual screen printers that utilize a platen arm up to 5" wide x  2" high.  

This platen assembly utilizes a platen arm clamp that can be removed from the main top plate and replaced with an optional Vastex V-2000 series platen arm bracket clamp.  If you require the clamp adapter for the V-2000 Series printer, please call.  It is approximately $65 extra.

Our testing has shown best results using Matsui 301-W Opaque White waterbased ink.  Partially cure the ink using a heat gun, then print CMYK on top.  Remove shirt from platen and dry/cure through a conveyor dryer for best results.  You may also cure by heat press with parchment or transfer paper on top of ink and extremely light pressure for 1 minute @ 330 degree F.

Drop on Brother GT Platen Assembly (complete) onto adapter.

Apply spray adhesive to face of platen (GT platen must be covered with Pallet Protection Film.

Mount shirt.

Print White ink (Matsui 301-W or Super 75 White Discharge) and partially gel with spot dryer of heat gun.

Drop Platen Assembly, with shirt attached, into the GT-541 printer.

Print digital CMYK.

Remove shirt and cure in heat press or conveyor dryer.  Perfect registration:
