This Platen Clamp Lever fits ALL Brother GT Series printers. The lever is used to hold the platen in place after setting the height adjustment. These levers strip easily from overtightening. Once stripped, they will no longer securely hold the platen height to keep it from changing. Remember: It is never neccesary to over-tighten this clamp to secure the platen height. Just a gentle tightening is all that's needed.
