- Error Code: Message
- 1070: Battery Life

All of these are related to the motherboard (Main PCB) battery failing. The lithium battery on the Main PC Board needs to be replaced. These batteries are only good for 4-5 years, but if your printer flashes this error, you should replace the battery A.S.A.P. Failure to replace the battery will erase all the onboard memory of your motherboard. All history of machine operation will be lost. That information is critical for data management, certain warranty determinations, troublshooting or determining certain operational problems.
These only cost a dollar more than what Radio Shack charges. It's worth the extra buck to buy from us, because you will receive very clear directions on how to replace the battery without damage to your printer AND we include the needed .exe file to reset the error code. Certain cover screws should NOT be removed, there is a time limit to swap the battery, you must then reset the internal clock, etc. etc. Save the $200 Technician's on-site service charge and do it yourself in less than 30 minutes.
