All 2008 + newer GT-541 printers use this type of SINGLE WALL ink supply tube.   If your printer has ink tubes that are LESS THAN 1/4" in diameter and are slightly white-ish.... these are the right tubes.  These new style ink supply tubes are VERY easy to kink.  If your tube gets a kink in it, it MUST BE REPLACED.  Kinked ink tubes will prevent smooth ink flow and is one of the causes for poor Nozzel Check Pattern prints and ink starvation of the printhead.

These are the latest version of Brother's single wall ink tube.  They have special packaging so they do not get kinked in shipping.  If requested, all Ink Tubes are unpackaged, inspected for kinks, correctly marked at the specified mounting points, then carefully repackaged and ready for you.  

For a healthy printer... CHANGE YOUR INK TUBES !!

If you're having problems with poor Nozzel Check prints and you've tried everything else.... change the ink supply tube!!  You should ALWAYS change your tube whenever a new or refurbished printhead is installed.

Even the slightest kink, as shown here, will cause ink starvation and poor prints.

 This picture shows coagulated (thickening) ink.  Caused by excessive down time or environmental conditions.  This will cause ink starvation as well by clogging the filters in the printhead.
